Massimo Bergamini
Massimo graduated from Bocconi University in Milan in 1984 and started his career in a company owned by his family focused on the distribution of packaging machines. He was appointed CEO and President in 1994.
In 1992, he acquired Sirt and assumed the role of CEO.
In 1994 he founded Demag Ergotech in partnership with the German group Mannesmann Demag.
Two years later he joined the working group that contributed to the creation of a 3-years degree course in Plastic Engineering in collaboration with the Politecnico di Torino.
Massimo is member of the Board of Proplast, a consortium for the promotion of plastic culture, research and innovation.
In 1998, he founded Sinco Macchine in joint venture with the M&G Group and in 1999 he entered the distribution activity of technopolymer materials and engineering materials produced by global leading engineering group.
In 2008, Massimo created the "Sirt think green" division focused on the distribution of recycled Pet becoming today the Italian market leader in RePet.
In 2016, Massimo acquired a stake in PlasticFinder, European leading online plastic materials marketplace.
Since 2016, he has been an advisor of the Switzerland-based Omya Group as Global Distribution Engineering Material.
Over the years he has participated in the creation of several companies in the plastic and packaging sector such as Tesit, Didelme, Entsorga, Lanzich.
Since December 2022, Massimo has been senior advisor plastic and packaging of Fineurop Soditic.
